Washington winemaker Michael Savage is inspired by the wines of the Loire Valley, and that’s clearly evident with this light-bodied, vibrant Malbec which comes from Dineen Vineyard in Rattlesnake Hills. Fermentation is 100% whole cluster, resulting in a purple color, very fresh and attractive aromas of red plum, blackberry, violets, licorice, and clove, and a palate with lightly gripping tannins, lively acidity, and a grainy texture. Very pure.
