Rudius Cabernet Sauvignon "Savory Estate" Howell Mountain 2015

The fruit for this comes from Jeff Ames’ property on Howell Mountain at 1700 feet elevation. Planted to clone 7 by David Abreu and Ric Forman in 1998, this has supreme lineage. The wine is all about structure, depth, and ageability. Rich cassis, pluot, black plum, and some blue fruits. More creamy blackberry, leather and cocoa are present with fine grained tannins that are delectably delicate. A splash of Cabernet Franc adds complexity.
