Rothwell Hyde Cabernet Sauvignon 2014

Rothwell Hyde is a blend of Dave Abreu’s favorite vineyards: the base of the wine is Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot from Cappella and Madrona Ranch vineyards in St. Helena, complemented by Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot from Las Posadas on Howell Mountain. Gorgeous upfront fruits of blackcurrants, cherries, and plums combine with crushed peppercorn and ground coffee, followed by an oaky, tannic palate that suggests decades of ageing potential.
