It is well known that St. Amant Vineyard has a reputation for growing Portuguese grapes since 1981, but why Trousseau? Oh yes, Trousseau is Bastardo! 50% is full carbonic producing a light and pretty style full of finesse and grace. Alpine strawberries, roses/violets, red vines, red cherry, watermelon and orange peel. There is a meaty quality that is usually accompanied by big tannins, but the tannins are perfectly blended in.
