Roeno “La Rua” Marzemino Vallagarina IGT 2020

A quick deciphering of the label: Roeno is the producer, Marzemino is the grape, “La Rua” is the vineyard name and the IGT of Vallagarina is located in Trentino, northern Italy. We see A LOT of lighter style reds, but none of them have the restrained fruit and savory qualities of this wine. Dark plums, earth, violets and herbs.  A pleasant mustiness from a cool climate and a slight bitter skin quality. Drinks like a carbonic without the flowers and juicy fruit, more earth and savory qualities.
