Napa is world famous for its bold and ripe Cabernet Sauvignon’s but if you head south just a about five miles the chilling influence of the San Pablo Bay provides ocean breezes that cool the grapes on the hottest days. This is a serious Pinot Noir that wears many hats. The original aromas are rich and creamy of black cherry, red cherry and vanilla.  Then, dark plum, sage, spice box and orange zest bring the seriousness. Finally, the polished tannins provide a backbone which hints the wine will have many bright years ahead.
