Rivers-Marie Pinot Noir "Bearwallow Vineyard" Anderson Valley 2016

Thomas Rivers Brown works with Kevin Harvey’s Rhys vineyard down in the “deep end” of the Anderson Valley, where there is a maritime influence with cooler days and moderate nights. Together with shallow, infertile soils, this means intense growing conditions to produce concentrated, complex, structured wines. There is an incredible purity to the gently ripe fruit and the attractively floral nose, given extra texture by the lightly grainy tannins and subtly spicy finish. Classy.
