Ridge Zinfandel "East Bench" Dry Creek Valley 2017

Ridge have specialised in Zinfandel ever since they started making wine in the 1960s. Usually they blend their Zins with other historic varieties, but this is one of just two single-varietial Zins they make. The grapes are grown overlooking Dry Creek Valley from the east, hence the name. A Zin that’s simultaneously friendly and serious, with ripe blueberries, blackberries, and cherries, a herbal texture, gripping tannins, and a long spicy finish.
