Ridge Vineyards Grenache Blanc Paso Robles 2021

Ridge is probably a lot cooler than you think.  Everybody knows their famous Santa Cruz Mountains Montebello estate, but they have some really hip grape varieties right now and in the works. This Grenache Blanc has some sprinkles of Roussanne and Picpoul from the Adelaida Vineyard.  The chalky limestone of the area comes across on the palate with gritty pear flavors, Fuji apples, green melons and a creamy texture.  Barrel aging gives it texture with subtle baked notes and surprisingly salty acidity.
