Ridge Estate Chardonnay 2016

Ridge have been making Chardonnay since 1962. The fruit comes from their property on Monte Bello, and the cooler altitude on the hill keeps acidity high, enabling the wine to go through MLF without losing its freshness. Rich and creamy, with peach, apricot, banana, mango, and passion fruit aromas, and a long spicy, toasty, nutty finish from ten months lees ageing. A big, forward, but extremely balanced and complex California Chardonnay. Drink now-2025.
