Remelluri Gran Reserva Rioja 2011

Winemaker Telmo Rodriguez is nothing short of a genius. He has been greatly influenced by his father Jaime and his wines are a blend of classic Spanish and modern wine making. 2011 was quite a hot vintage in Rioja and the wines that resulted are big with bold fruit flavors. The micro-climate in which the grapes are grown, coupled with the oak aging gives the wine flavors of plum, blackberry, walnut, herbs and leather.
