Bouvier has the rare distinction of making white, rosé, and red wine in the village of Marsannay, with the "Les Longeroies" coming from 50 year-old vines on calcareous slopes. A generous amount of oak is used, 12-16 months, of which 30% is new. This helps to soften the generally high acidity of the far-north village. Masculine and meaty with elusive red and black fruits showing firm structure while being polished around all the edges. Unmistakably Burgundy from beginning to end, and that’s why we love it.
