Fortune 1621 Cabernet Sauvignon Napa Valley 2014 - $29
Oak Knoll District Estate vineyard and winery (2nd label for Darms Lane Winery, located on, you guessed it, Darms Lane). Deep and dark color, black and ripe berries/cherries, chocolate, vanilla/toast from the oak, allspice. Full-flavored, soft tannins, loaded with flavor fruit both fruit and toasty barrel. Made in a big, rich drink-me-tonight style. Has about 15% Merlot & Petit Verdot combined.

Cultivar Cabernet Sauvignon Coombsville 2013 - $60
Deep, rich dark purple/red color. "Coombsville" nose of black currants, boysenberries, charcoal, bittersweet chocolate, dry-aged beef. Rich taste with more of the same. Drinks like an "over the top" Left Bank Bordeaux. Lush, full bodied, medium/low acidity, supple tannins. Open and enjoy tonight!

Sojourn Cellars Pinot Noir Sonoma Coast 2015 - $38
Pinot Noir (and Chardonnay) specialist Sojourn sources myriad coastal vineyards for this bottling. So good, and ready to drink anytime. Black cherry preserves, cinnamon toast, cola, red roses, allspice, dark raspberry, cocoa. Medium acidity, soft tannins, full-flavored. Can’t go wrong with this.

Cenay Cabernet Sauvignon "Blue Tooth Vineyard" 2015 - $37
All “Blue Tooth Vineyard” fruit (named for what happens when you drink ink-dark Cabernet) from cool-climate Oak Knoll yields a wine of roundness, finesse and charm. Get crème de cassis, cherry compote, creamy mouthfeel, soft tannins and a veritable bouquet garni of fresh herbs. Toasty spice on the finish.

Clif Family "The Climber" 2015 - $38
This blend of 53% Merlot from Stags Leap District, 47% Cabernet Sauvignon from Howell Mountain was aged 20 months in new/once used barrels. On the darker side for a half and half blend. Get ripe black plums, blackberries, dark cherries, cigar box, baking spices, and a savory note on the 10+ second finish.

Revival Vineyards "Field Guide Red" Napa Valley 2013 - $42
1/3rd each Cabernet Sauvignon (St Helena), Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot (both from Rutherford Bench vineyards). Powerful and complex, this Bordeaux style blend is an exceptional value. Smell and taste black currants, dark chocolate, mocha, blackberries, tobacco and black truffle. Has the structure to age for 10-15 years. That said, it's delicious now with an hour decant.
