The Rambella grape is also known as Famoso and it is native to the land east of Bologna/Romagna in an IGP called Ravenna Famoso. The grape itself is highely aromatic with a historic name being “Traminer of Romagna”. White flowers, melons, green apples and pears are given depth from a savory baking spice (not from oak). Fresh acidity is streaking through the entirety of the wine with yellow fruits and minerality. A thrilling discovery.
