Radio-Coteau "Las Colinas" Sonoma Coast Syrah 2014

This is a must-have wine. Radio-Coteau only make one Syrah for retail, and this is it. Coming from cooler Sonoma Coast, it’s as sophisticated as you’d expect. A restrained nose that’s far removed from the often opulent Californian Syrahs, with aromas of blackberries, just the slightest hint of jam, and black olives, followed by a lean palate of black pepper and dry, grainy tannins. A definite wine for food pairing: duck or lamb.
