Quinta do Mouro Vinha de Mouro Tinto Alentejo 2017

The amount of time and effort from hand-harvesting and foot-stomping, to aging 1 year in tank and 3 years in bottle translates to unequivocal quality at sub-$20. Mostly Trincadeira, Aragon, and Alicante Bouschet, the wine has a density rarely found at this price. Cassis, red currants, plums and chocolate taffy make way for earthy components of brick-lined  barrel room, leather and rose bush. The tannins are balanced creating a nice dryness to the overall rich palate.
