Pym-Rae Tesseron Estate Red Wine Mount Veeder Napa 2017

The estate describes the blend of 80% Cabernet Sauvignon and 20% merlot as, An intense and powerful wine, balanced with a beautiful freshness characteristic from Pym-Rae's terroir.” Picked a little earlier, the tannins are lively and well structured with earth being the main focus.  Dark fruits and stewed fruits with a well maintained freshness from the vineyards 1800 foot location. Vinified in 264 gallon round concrete tanks then aged 16 months in 70% new French oak barrels and 30% concrete tanks.
