Purlieu "Beckstoffer Gorges III Vineyard" Cabernet Sauvignon Napa 2016

The George III vineyard has a long illustrious history that dates back to 1895 and it later became a favorite of Andre Tchelistcheff for the Georges de Latour wines in the 1960’s and 70’s. The 2013 vintage will give some of the best Bordeaux a run for their money. Ever so lightly green with black olive, tapenade, leather, figs, plums and dark cocoa. The flavors are followed by crushed rock, blackberry and a silky smooth mid-palate that builds to a lengthy, long lasting finish.
