Prieler Blaufrankisch Ried Johanneshohe 2017

Sourced from 9 different parcels in Schützen that are dominated by limestone, mica schist, and portions of slate, the wine walks a fine line of rustic and refined. The fruit is fresh and bright with a full-bodied presence which supports ripe blueberry, blackberry and purple plums.  The natural vegetal qualities of the grape are tasted briefly while herbs, cherries and silky tannins push through to the end.
