Poseidon Vineyard Pinot Noir Carneros 2016

From a single block with particularly gravelly soils on their Carneros estate, Poseidon’s Pinot Noir is aged in 40% new Hungarian oak for 8 months. That oak gives the wine a touch of spice – cloves, nutmeg, black pepper – along with a meaty texture and not-too-ripe raspberries, strawberries, and blackberries, all lifted by high acidity. A very attractive wine at a great price point.
