Polvanera Primitivo Puglia Italy 2018

Primitivo, the grape that is responsible for Zinfandel in the U.S. thrives in the hot climate of Puglia in southern Itlay.  Ripe with qualities reminescent of Rioja on the nose, big, inky, and chewy with put the jamminess that Zin achieves in California. Cherries, dark berries, dusty fruits and dried flowers blend with earthy notes and herbs.  Denser, fruitier, and riper overall than what Italy typically makes. A big wine at a small price with a great juicy texture.
