Podere Il Palazzino "Grosso Sanese" Chianti Classico Riserva 2011

This is as good a Chianti as we've had in quite a while. From a vineyard planted to Sangiovese in 1973, there's great intensity and concentration to the wine, together with the perfect balance between fresh, floral, red fruit aromas, a mature, developed dried fruit character, high acidity, and dusty tannins. Drinking beautifully now, with plenty of life left.
