Pierre Jean Villa “Jardin Suspender” Condrieu 2019
Have you ever heard somebody say, "It's very Burgundian"? It usually means it has less oak and yada yada yada. Rarely does it indicate a reductive match-head quality with baked pear, orange pith, and minerality that is like licking the inside of a seashell. Smoky oyster shells with razor-sharp acidity, grapefruit and a touch of hazelnut make this a true Chassagne Doppelganger. An amazing transfer of earth-to-glass here.
