Pheasant’s Tears Rkatsiteli Bodbiskhevi Kakheti Georgia 2019

A skin-contact orange/amber wine made in the same manner as they did thousands of years ago.  Aging takes place in the large egg-shaped clay amphora called qvevri buried underground.  No sulphur and no additives, makng this natural and well, a little dirty. Aromas of raw honey, tangerine zest, a touch of an oily texture with a smooth mouth-feel.  Bees wax, earth and some sauna aromas for those who like it funky.
