Petrussa Schioppettino di Prepotto Friuli Colli Orientali 2015

Schioppettino is a black grape variety indigenous to north-east Italy. Almost extinct by the 1970s, it's undergone a revival thanks to the high quality of wine it produces. Its homeland is Prepotto, right on the Slovenian border where this excellent wine comes from. Peppery, elegant, and fruity, medium-bodied with smooth tannins and bright acidity, this is a graceful wine with lots of depth and concentration.
