Pella by KNA Cabernet Sauvignon Rutherford 2003

Kristof Anderson, whom you might know as a Scribe co-founder, and/or winemaker at Gargiulo, but his KNA label pre-dates those, and the wines were specifically built to be released late. The Pella Cab was sourced from Star Vineyard in Rutherford, which was founded by Reg Oliver and Ric Foreman and was managed by David Abreu. Tertiary yes, but still full of life. Leather, purple plum, blueberry, dusty leaves and earth. Time has been kind, smoothing most of the tannins, but staying integrated as a whole.
