Panzanello “1427” Chianti Classico DOCG 2019

This is an old-school Chianti through and through with limited fruit and an emphasis on earth and cellar. Sourced from two estate vineyards it is mainly Sangiovese with a small percentage of Cabernet Sauvignon. Leather, wet terracotta, sweat, smoke and blackberries. Figs, coffee and a real quality of wine made in the traditional way with zero lab equipment. Medium weight with firm tannins which are nestled in comfortably with the overall style of the wine.
