Ott Gruner Veltliner "Fass 4" 2016

Cult 4th generation producer in the Wagram region, just northeast of Vienna, one of the first in Wagram to farm biodynamically. Lean, minerally and a bit saline on first opening, lime zest and white pepper taking the lead. With some swirling it blossoms into ripe pear, nectarine, melon and dried herbs with a long, stony finish. High acid keeps it focused and precise.
