Olivier Merlin Bourgogne Rouge “Les Cras” 2018

A young Bourgogne Rouge from a legendary vigneron which is in a perfect place after 4 years. The “Les Cras” comes from a single site on the commune of La Roche Vineuse (Mâcon), its partially de-stemmed, vatted for 14-15 days and matured for 15 months in neutral barrels.  Daker fruits on the nose with a special ripeness of red currants and black cherry. Lightly herbed with dried flowers and textbook red fruited acidity, savory earthy notes and respectable tannins.
