Obsidian “Poseidon Vineyard” Chardonnay Napa Carneros 2023

“POSEIDON VINEYARD”

From a vineyard planted in 1973 at the confluence of Napa River and Carneros Creek – some of the first plantings in cooler Carneros. An inviting nose of fresh pears, citrus blossom, tangerine peel, honey, graham cracker, and vanilla leads to a soft, creamy palate, with lively, high acidity and a warm, toasty finish. Unusually, Hungarian oak is used, adding an extra spiciness to the mineral texture.
