O'Shaughnessy Cabernet Sauvignon Howell Mountain 2018

O’Shaughnessy uniquely have all seven black Bordeaux varieties planted on their 1,800ft-high estate: mostly Cabernet Sauvignon, with Malbec, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Carménère, Petit Verdot, and St. Macaire (!). The nose is immediately engaging with fragrant aromas of violets, lavender, raspberry, plum, cassis, vanilla, cocoa, and new leather, while the palate is silky smooth, held together by firm tannins, all going down very easily.
