Nicolas Maillet Macon Village 2020
True to the nature of its southernly location of Mâcon, the fruit from this Chardonnay is ripe, tropical, and expressive, yet the acidity seems to intertwine effortlessly with lasting brightness and subtle intensity. Each of these features seem to fall on the far sides of the spectrum, with so much more in between. Perceived baking spice…even though it is unoaked, apricot, peaches, pears and citrusy acidity. Ohh yeah, and a healthy dose of minerality.
