Get crème de cassis, cherry compote, creamy mouthfeel, soft tannins and a veritable bouquet garni of fresh herbs. Toasty spice on the finish.

2nd wine from boutique Napa winery Coho. Named after an early San Francisco French restaurant that closed its doors to protest Prohibition ("great cuisine must have wine"). Classic, burly Napa Cabernet Sauvignon: core of ripe blackcurrants and blackberries, wrapped up in baking spices, tobacco, and smoked meat. Full-bodied and rich, with velvety tannins and stiff acid. 24% combo of Merlot and Cabernet Franc. Just 245 cases made.

Consortium Cabernet Sauvignon "Band of Vintners" Napa Valley 2015 - $40
7 Napa Vintners make up this consortium. Multiple fruit sources from up & down the valley. Boasts a lovely expression of the grape and the Napa soil. Light oak (all once used French), perfectly ripe black cherries, currants and raspberries, medium acidity, dry herb notes, silky tannins. Multi layered and could be drunk now. Better come 2018. 15% Merlot, 2% Cab Franc.
