Mountain Tides Rose of Petite Sirah Contra Costa 2018

Mountain Tides only work with Petite Sirah, even for their rosés. The grape works surprisingly well, providing color and generous fruit. The grapes were trodden by foot to give firm but gentle tannins and a complex structure. A very pretty nose of red cherry, plum, and blackberry, as well as licorice, cinnamon, and rose petals, goes into a palate that has fresh, integrated acidity, some roundness and weight, and a creamy texture. Serious, engaging, and extremely refreshing.
