Monte Rio Mission Lodi 2019

Monte Rio is an extremely fun project by Patrick Cappiello and Pax Mahle in which they do what the f*** they want.  Made from 80 year old organic vines grown in Lodi with a 10 day carbonic maceration in steel; this wine shows an extra crispiness to the light fruit and dry finish.  Flavors of rooibos tea, herbs, underbrush, roses, and barrel notes from the six months of aging.  A great example of what the Mission grape is capable of.  380 cases
