Montalbera Castagniole Monferrato Ruche 2017

Formally known as Ruché di Castagnole Monferrato, this is one of the lowest production varietal wines in Italy with only about 40 ha to its DOC.  A one-of- kind drop from the north with immediately recognizable aromas of tar, violets/roses, sweet cigar box, green coffee beans, and mountain herbs. More spices, apricot, and medium weight on the palate with  tannins that are present but not powerful. Aged in 100% stainless.
