Family winery that goes back to the seventeenth century, the wine coming from two small adjacent vineyards on the southern tip of this criminally underrated appellation. Great intensity and concentration, with aromas of smoke, black pepper, strawberry, raspberry, red cherries, and licorice, with high acidity and fine, grainy tannins, and a subtly spicy finish. An incredibly pure expression and a great introduction to Maranges – an appellation you need to know about.
