Meyer Fonné Pinot Blanc Vielles Vignes Alsace 2018
Labeled Pinot Blanc, but actually a combination of 65% Pinot Auxerrois, 20% Pinot Blanc, 15% Pinot Gris. No matter what it's called, the end result is still stunning. Aromatic notes of lemon/lime and tangerine-rind prelude powerful acidity, while backround aromas of chamomile, sweet grass, and beeswax fill in the gaps for the lean and intense citrus flavors. Slightly weighty with Riesling-like texture, clean minerality, and lasting acidity.
