“BERG”

Sourced from two vineyards, Auf dem Berg and Silberberg that parralel the Grand Cru Engelberg, the soils are Muschelkalk over pure limestone. Fermented to total dryness there is still a touch of the Alsatian richness with aroma of wet river rock, ginger, apricot, candy orange rinds and an unusual pencil shaving minerality. Additional apples and pears add a crisp acidity. A great example of the difference between Mosel and Alsace.
