Meinklang “Mulatschak” Orange Burgenland Austria 2022

Don’t be fooled by the crown cap and the bottle choice, this is not sparkling. It’s also not dirty, though it is biodynamic, orange and unfiltered. A blend of Welschriesling, Traminer and Pinot Gris, each spending between 5-7 days on the skins, giving the wine its color and subtle bitterness. Pineapple, peach, apricots, tangerine and what the internet calls “golden berries”. Savory flavors, bitter peach skin and a mild yeastiness.
