Mayacamas Chardonnay Napa 2021

This is almost an anti-California Chardonnay with a light-weight profile, bright acidity, and a streak of minerality. No oak and butter to be had here! Some vintages carry a little more weight, but the 2020 has a focus on a flinty, seashell characteristic that contrasts the baked apple, pear, and browned caramel flavors. Citrus, apricot, peach and mouthwatering acidity tie the wine together and this should age for another 10 years or so.
