Matthieu Barret Cotes du Rhone "Petit Ours" 2021

Petit Ours translates to “Little Bear”, a reference to the winemaker himself, and the juice in the bottle is also a reflection of a powerful grape and region toned down to a soft and approachable wine.  Biodynamic with restrained fruits of black cherry, purple flowers, blackberries and mild black pepper.  The palate shows lighter weight than most Northern Rhône, making this a Syrah that needs no food to be enjoyed tonight.
