Matthiasson Ribolla Gialla Napa Valley 2015

Put Steve Matthiasson and Ribolla Gialla together and the result is something unique. The yellow-skinned grape often receives skin contact, as is the case here, giving the wine color, tannins, and a chewy grip. A little oxidative as a result, offset by rich green apple, pear, grapefruit, and spice aromas. With good acidity, this is a wine that manages to be lean and forward at the same time. Mustache wine for sure.
