Massican Sauvignon Blanc Napa Valley 2018

The Massican Blue is rooted in the original pigment of Pompeiian Blue, seen in time worn Frescoes and historical artifacts in the south of Italy. If you gave this to me blind I would guess it is from the Loire. Very mineral driven on the nose with smoky notes, pear, prosciutto, and grapefruit. The palate is much richer and round than the nose would indicate. This wine is a perfect pairing for shellfish and many types of seafood.
