Massican "Hyde" Chardonnay Napa Valley 2018

Massican has released a new blue label to commemorate the tenth vintage of the winery. The grapes come from the legendary Hyde Vineyard in Carneros. The parcel for this wine is a Musque clone planted in 1992 and this particular clone gives it aromatics of cotton candy, pear, cantaloupe and white flowers, followed by barrel notes from oak aging. Don’t let these aromatics fool you, this is 12.7 % ABV and the acidity is screaming right now
