Makarounas Vineyards “Aerides” Xynisteri 2023

Founded in 2016, UC Davis graduate Theodore’s Makarounas makes wines almost exclusively from native grapes of Cyprus. The Xynisteri grape is one of the islands most popular grapes, thriving in limestone soils at altitude for a crisp wine with salty acidity. Baked pears/apples, green melon and prosciutto, lemon curd and tropical aromas of guava, papaya and mango are lively and engaging. An exciting new grape discovering awaits in this bottle!
