Maitre De Chai Stampede Vineyard Zinfandel Lodi 2016

From ungrafted vines planted in the 1920s and 1940s on the Stampede vineyard in Lodi. This is quite a serious expression of Zinfandel, demonstrating the heights it can reach when it’s made well. The nose is floral and pretty, with inviting ripe strawberry aromas and a hint of jam, leading on to a grainy, spicy palate filled out with a creamy vanilla mouthfeel. Very classy and concentrated expression of Zinfandel.
