Maison Roche de Bellene Chambolle-Musigny VV 2020

From 50-70 years old vines throughout Chambolle Musigny, the wine is aged for 14 months in French oak barrels, of which 20% is new. This seems to be the ripest and most ready to drink of the Bellene single village wines. Aromatically the wine gently lifts from the glass with notes of dusty, just ripened red berries and wet bramble. On the palate the wine is beautifully rounded with savory notes of dried meats, bright acidity and a hint of baking spice.
