Maison d’Amis Cabernet Sauvignon Rutherford 2014

This wine is produced in a style with a nod to the old school Cabs of Napa Valley. Sourced from three different vineyards with a dollop of Cabernet Franc added. Rutherford dust is apparent, with restrained fruit flavors of pomegranate, ripe raspberry, kirsch, underbrush, tarragon, earl grey tea, and anise.  Seamlessly tied together with fine tannins that are persistent, but never aggressive.  With this 2014 vintage, it's always appreciated when the winery holds the wine until it's ready for release.
