Madelyn by Trujillo Red Blend Napa 2020

The 2020 cuvée sees a much higher portion of Cabernet Sauvignon due to harvesting constraints from the fires (trust us, the wines are clean) with the fruit coming from Rutherford and Oak Knoll.  The heavy portion of 95% Cab lends a firm structure, serious black fruits of plums and blackberries, and raw cocoa.  French oak barrels give the wine a hint of vanilla, cedar chest and a bold texture. Although it is labeled a “red wine”, this is Napa Cab through and through.
